What we’re launching
At launch, The Helpers will focus on two main efforts:
We will provide free courses to teach life skills that “they should teach in high school”. Each course will be multi-media and will be taught by an engaging expert in that field. Some examples include: how to teach someone something, how to rent an apartment, and how to research anything. If you have suggestions for subjects, email us.
We are also offering direct assistance by providing goods and services to individuals and families in need. Are you experiencing financial hardship? Do you need help connecting to community resources? Submit this form.
What we’re building
At scale, The Helpers will provide resources and assistance by:
Identifying a crisis: this can span many areas including community, psychology, science, and more.
Activating crisis relief efforts to alleviate acute and immediate needs.
Transitioning to developing community-level programs and infrastructure to continue moving away from the crisis.
Providing courses for individuals and families to develop the skills needed to continue improving their community and growing beyond the crisis to opportunities.
